Deepness and Silliness
Some who have failed will not want others to succeed.
Yes, some of the Bible was also wrote in the Greek la-
nguage. Does everyone really hate me because of my
numerous great qualities & abilities? Do some folks p-
lay like they're going to work & drive around instead?
Learning about Mike Skinner & his band the Streets.
Mike has some of the most powerful lyrics. He paid h-
is dues & received major success. I purchased his fir-
st four albums. The LP Original Pirate Material is clas-
sic. Trust me, the dude is serious but he is goofy too.
HAH-HAH-HAH-HAH-HAH-HAH-HAH-HAH-HAH-HAH!
Mr. Skinner's standout songs of all times are Turn the
Page, Let's Push Things Forward, It's Too Late, The I-
rony of it All, Stay Positive, Fit and You Know It, I Lo-
ve You More, The Way of the Dodo, On the Flip of a C-
oin, Alleged Legends, The Strongest Person I know, &
The Escapist.
Find out about the inventive band Animals As Leaders.
They are not animals but their instrumentation gets fe-
rocious. HA!!! Their standout songs are Behaving Bad-
ly, Odessa, Earth Departure, and Isolated Incidents. Be
having Badly is on their 2009 album. The other ones are
on their 2011 album Weightless. Get ready to be amaz-
ed.
The soul artist Charles Bradley released a resonating
song called The World (Is Going Up In Flames). It's on
his album No Time for Dreaming. Charles has been ar-
ound for decades & James Brown influenced him grea-
tly .
Les was born Richmond, CA but raised in El Sobrante,
California. Yes, he is country & was a bassist in the ba-
nd Blind Illusion. He founded Primus in 1984. He was in
a band called Sausage. He wanted to be a bassist in the
band Metallica, so he auditioned. Cliff Burton stood out
& he died on September 27, 1986. Rest in peace, Sir.
Les is the epitome of wild. He can be considered a rock-
er who could have been a comedian. He come up with s-
ome of the most craziest stories and lyrics. HAH-HAH!!!
The whole discography of the odd band Primus is aweso-
me. The songs John the Fisherman, Groundhog's Day, T-
ommy the Cat, Pudding Time, & Harold of the Rocks are
funny & good. Those songs are on their debut live 1989
album.
I am glad that they took the risk & released a live LP first.
That kind of let us know way ahead of time how they were
going to do things. Their way, of course! HAH-HAH!! Their
1990 album Frizzle Fry rocks too.
The songs Here Comes the Bastards, Jerry Was a Race-
Car Driver, Is it Luck?, & Fish On are on their 1991 alb-
um Sailing the Seas of Cheese. HAH! The songs My Na-
me is Mud, Welcome to This World, Pork Soda, Mr. Kr-
inkle, The Air is Getting Slippery, & Hamburger Train are
on their 1993 album Pork Soda.
The song Professor Nutbutter's House of Treats, Mrs. Blail-
een, Wynona's Big Brown Beaver, SouthBound Pachyderm,
Space Farm, Year of the Parrot, Hellound 171/2, Glass Sa-
ndwich, Del Davis Tree Farm, De Anza Jig, & Over the Elec-
tric Grapevine are from their 1995 LP Tales From the Punc-
hbowl.
Their Brown Album was released in 1997. HA! They put the-
ir Rhinoplasty EP on the market in 1998. They released th-
eir 1999 Anti-Pop album & continued to tour a lot. Primus r-
eleased their 2003 DVD & EP Animals Should Not Try to A-
ct Like People, & kept being hilarious. They released their gr-
eatest hits LP They Can't All Be Zingers in 2006, the 2010 Ju-
ne Rehearsal in 2010, & Green Naugahyde in 2011. Get rea-
dy for their way-out-there sense of humor.
