Aluminum is Useful
In 1886, Charles M. Hall created better ways to extract alu-
minum from its core. Those made the extractions happen m-
ore smoothly. Alfred Wilm discovered that letting aluminum a-
lloy sit for over 48 hours makes it extremely hard.
Wilm came up with the age-hardening process that is still utiliz-
ed today. Zinc improves aluminum alloy and completely stops it
from cracking.
