Some of the surgeries are being brought to the forefront often. The well-known hysterectomy
will require the surgeon to take out the uterus and cervix. Our ladies go through a lot so we n-
eed to comfort them on a consistent basis.
The pelvic exenteration requires the surgeon to get rid of the uterus, cervix, upper vagina, and
adjacent tissues. In a lot of cases, the bladder, whole vagina, rectum, & part of the colon will
have to be discarded too. WHOA! That bring tears to my eyes most definitely.
The laser surgery requires a human-guided laser beam to infiltrate the vagina to vaporize the b-
ad cells or take out a part of the tissue to analyze. The pelvic lymph node dissection requires
the medical professional to get rid of the lymph nodes that are adjacent to the cervix. Those
get tested to make determinations.
The cryosurgery requires the medical professional to put a liquid nitrogen-chilled metal probe
on the cervix, so that the cancerous cells freeze to death. The radical hysterectomy requires
the surgeon to take out the uterus, cervix, upper vagina, and adjacent tissues.
The conization operation requires the doctor to get rid of a part of the cervix tissue that's shap-
ed like a cone for further analysis. The trachelectomy requires the medical professional to take
out the cervix and an upper part of the vagina, but not the body of the uterus to preserve fertility
in specific cervical cancer patients.
Sometimes, chemotherapy can be utilized because of the severity of some cervical cancers. C-
hemotherapy and radiation can form kind of like Voltron and become a more effective treatment
that they named concurrent chemoradiation. There are still chances that the cervical cancers c-
ould come back.
When they do, the medical professionals will resume using chemotherapy with no radiation. I si-
ncerely wish that none of our ladies ever had to go through any of those extreme procedures. Th-
is is another article that made me cry as I was writing it. A lot of our ladies are hurting badly and
we need to do what we can to forever help them.
